The Mastervolt CombiMaster 24/3000-60 230V is a multifunction charger-inverter designed to deliver reliable and versatile power performance in marine and mobile environments. Part of Mastervolt’s CombiMaster range, this unit stands out for its compact and lightweight design, positioning it as an all-in-one solution that is both high-performing and cost-effective compared to separate inverter and charger units.
High-Performance Pure Sine Wave Inverter
This CombiMaster integrates a pure sine wave inverter delivering an output voltage of 230 V at 50/60 Hz (configurable) from a nominal DC input voltage of 24 V (range 20.4–32 V). It provides a continuous power output of 3000 VA / 2600 W at 40 °C, capable of handling heavy and sensitive loads. Peak power capabilities reach 4500 VA / 3900 W for 30 seconds and 6000 VA / 5200 W for 5 seconds, ensuring the startup of demanding equipment. With a maximum efficiency of 93 %, it optimizes battery energy consumption, featuring a no-load consumption of 30 W in run mode and less than 1 mA in standby mode, including a 10 W energy-saving mode. Grid synchronization is also supported.
Intelligent and Adaptive Battery Charger
The integrated battery charger of the CombiMaster 24/3000-60 230V delivers a maximum charging current of 60 A at 28.5 V (configurable), with an input voltage range of 170–280 V and a maximum adjustable input current of 13 A. It uses a 3-step+ (IUpUo) smart charging process, compatible with flooded, Gel/AGM, and Lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries, ensuring fast and safe charging. Automatic battery voltage compensation and the inclusion of a battery temperature sensor further optimize the charging process. The recommended battery capacity ranges from 180 to 500 Ah for Gel batteries.
AC Transfer System and Advanced Features
The CombiMaster’s automatic AC transfer system ensures uninterrupted power supply by switching between the generator or shore power and the inverter output in just 10 ms. It features a 25 A (switched) AC input and a 38 A AC output, with an integrated AC input fuse. The Power Assist and Power Sharing functions are key advantages: Power Assist supplements the AC input power with battery energy during high demand, while Power Sharing adjusts charger output to prevent shore power or generator breaker tripping in low-capacity scenarios. The switching voltage range is either wide (90–280 V) or narrow (170–280 V), with a switching frequency range of 40–65 Hz.
Connectivity and System Integration
The CombiMaster range is designed for seamless integration into complex systems. The Mastervolt CombiMaster 24/3000-60 230V is compatible with MasterBus, CZone, and NMEA 2000 networks. This extended connectivity enables precise control and monitoring via dedicated displays such as the Mastervolt SmartRemote or EasyView 5, CZone Touch 5 or Touch 10 screens, or third-party multifunction displays from brands including Simrad, B&G, Lowrance, Garmin, Furuno, and Raymarine. The unit also includes robust connections for quick installation and features dry contacts for remote switching and alarm output.
