The Navico accessory connector assembly (part number 000-10568-001) is designed specifically for the DST800 multi-sensor transducer. This accessory provides electrical and data connectivity, enabling the DST800 transducer to transmit depth, speed, and temperature data to compatible navigation systems.
Purpose of the accessory connector assembly
This assembly is a critical component for integrating the DST800 transducer into your marine electronics network. It ensures a reliable interface between the transducer and Navico-branded devices, including Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G systems. Its design maintains signal integrity for accurate navigation data transmission.
The DST800 transducer: a versatile sensor
The DST800 transducer, to which this connector assembly connects, is a Smart™ TRIDUCER® sensor that combines depth, water speed, and water temperature detection in a single through-hull housing. It provides precise data for navigation. The transducer operates at a frequency of 235 kHz, which helps minimize interference with other detection equipment.
DST800 transducer performance and specifications
The DST800 offers a minimum depth range of 0.5 m and a maximum range of up to 70 m for NMEA 0183 systems, and up to 100 m for NMEA 2000 systems. Its wide, fan-shaped beam is designed to effectively detect the seabed, even on high-V hulls or when the sailboat is heeled. The integrated temperature sensor provides a rapid response with an accuracy of ±0.2°C across a range of -10°C to 40°C. Data is available via NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000® protocols.
DST800 transducer housing options and compatibility
The DST800 transducer is available with plastic, bronze, or stainless steel housings, each featuring a water flap. The plastic housing is suitable for fiberglass or metal hulls, the bronze housing for fiberglass or wooden hulls, and the stainless steel housing is compatible with all hull materials. Its retractable housing facilitates maintenance. The DST800 is compatible with various Raymarine instruments (ST40, ST60, ST60+, ST70) and can connect directly to i40 Bidata instruments, i50 Tridata, or iTC-5 transducer converters. It is designed for hulls with a deadrise angle of up to 22°, with optimal performance up to 7°.
