The Navico LSS-HD Skimmer mount (part number 000-10874-001) is designed for secure installation of the StructureScan® HD Skimmer transducer. This accessory is essential to ensure optimal performance and protection of your imaging sonar transducer.
Design and features
This mount is built to withstand harsh marine environments. It supports multiple mounting options, including transom, jackplate, or transom step. The low-drag Skimmer® design features a kick-up bracket for transom mounting, providing protection against potential impacts with underwater obstacles. The mount ensures the transducer remains in an optimal position for effective scanning.
Compatibility and benefits for the StructureScan HD system
Compatible with the StructureScan® HD module, this mount allows the transducer to deliver high-resolution images via SideScan and DownScan Imaging™ technologies. The StructureScan HD system, when equipped with this mount, operates at frequencies of 455 kHz and 800 kHz, with a transmission power of 500W RMS (4000W peak-to-peak). It offers a maximum depth of 92 meters (300 ft) in DownScan and a lateral coverage extending up to 183 meters (600 ft). Correct installation of the mount is critical to fully utilize the system’s capabilities, enabling bottom tracking at high speeds (up to 56 km/h for DownScan) and object identification at optimal speeds of 3 to 13 km/h.
