Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for centralized management of marine equipment, the Navico Naviop LOOP S+ digital switching system kit provides integrated control and monitoring functions. This system enables simplified interaction with various onboard equipment via a dedicated sidebar on compatible multifunction displays (MFD).
System Capabilities and Architecture
The Naviop LOOP S+ features 16 fused relay channels and an additional 16 fused channels, totaling 32 channels for switching and monitoring. The kit includes a NAVIOP ARC protocol converter, essential for converting NMEA 2000 to J1939 protocols, ensuring extended compatibility. It uses one or two Egon+ power distribution boards, each managing 8 channels. If included, the OP-BOX offers IPX7 protection, operates on 9 to 32 V DC power, and has 2 Ethernet ports and 1 USB port.
Connectivity and Robustness
The system is powered by a 9 to 32 V DC range. Current consumption is up to 0.15 A at 24 V DC for the OP-BOX and 1.5 mA in standby mode for the Egon+ board. The Egon+ boards have IP66 protection, while the OP-BOX, if present, is rated IPX7. The system is designed to withstand operating temperatures from -15°C to +55°C for the OP-BOX and from -40°C to +85°C for the Egon+ boards. Connectivity is provided by 2 Ethernet ports (10/100), 1 USB port (Host v. 2.0), 2 serial ports (RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 configurable) with optical isolation, and 2 CAN bus ports with 1kV optical isolation. The system is compatible with Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G MFDs, as well as existing Simrad Pro marine systems and standard marine network protocols. Configuration is performed via the Naviop Loop SetApp web application.
Advanced Features
The Naviop LOOP S+ offers an intuitive interface with numerous customization options for displaying information in numerical and graphical formats. It enables comprehensive monitoring of key data such as engine status and performance, fuel and tank levels, power management (DC and AC systems), propulsion systems, and data from a variety of sensors. Secure remote access is possible via compatible PCs, smartphones, and tablets. The system is designed to adapt to various existing protocols, covering boat equipment from battery systems to courtesy lights.
