Detailed description
Detailed description
The Navico StructureScan 3D transducer is designed for three-dimensional visualization of seafloors and underwater structures. This accessory, which requires a StructureScan 3D module (sold separately), provides SideScan and DownScan views with frequencies of 455 kHz and 800 kHz.
Advanced imaging capabilities
The StructureScan 3D system, powered by this transducer, delivers panoramic underwater 3D views. The 455 kHz frequency offers greater range and a maximum depth of 300 feet, while the 800 kHz frequency provides superior image definition with a maximum depth of 100 feet. In SideScan mode, the lateral range reaches 500 feet (250 feet per side) at 455 kHz and 300 feet (150 feet per side) at 800 kHz. Target separation is 1.5 inches (38.1 mm).
Technical specifications and installation
This transducer operates with a transmit power of 500W RMS and 4000W peak, requiring a 12V DC power supply (input range: 10V to 17V DC). The transducer cable is 6 meters (20 feet) long. Communication is via Ethernet, and the system supports up to 3 shared devices. Various mounting options are available: transom mount, jackplate, step mount, and direct/step mount, as well as an electric motor bracket (sold separately). The transducer is compatible with Lowrance and Simrad multifunction displays, provided a StructureScan 3D module is used.
Performance in navigation
The StructureScan 3D transducer operates up to a maximum speed of 55 mph (88 km/h), allowing bottom tracking up to 35 mph (56 km/h) and object marking up to 15 mph (24 km/h). The optimal speed for detailed imaging is 10 mph (16 km/h) or less.
