Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine 45 STV Gen2 (reference E70464) satellite TV system is an antenna designed for receiving television channels at sea or dockside. This system automatically identifies, acquires, and maintains tracking of compatible signals from digital video broadcasting (DVB) satellites, ensuring continuous service for onboard entertainment.
Design and Specifications
The 45 STV Gen2 model is part of the STV Gen2 range, which also includes the 37STV and 60STV Gen2 models. This specific version (E70464) is configured for regions using linear polarization, including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, China, and the Middle East. For optimal operation, it is recommended to adjust the antenna's low-noise block (LNB) and update the region information via the antenna control unit (ACU) or a PC running the graphical interface software if the navigation area changes.
Installation and Safety
Installing the Raymarine 45 STV Gen2 system requires following precise guidelines. Before commissioning, it is essential to remove the foam transport packaging located in the antenna unit's base. It is also important not to paint the antenna unit to avoid degrading its performance. When handling, the unit must be lifted by its base plate, avoiding the housing or connectors. The power source must be protected by a fuse or appropriately rated circuit breaker.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
To ensure optimal EMC performance, the equipment and its cables must be installed at least 1 meter away from any equipment or cables transmitting radio signals (2 meters for SSB radios) and more than 2 meters from the path of a radar beam. It is recommended to power the product from a battery separate from the engine starter battery. Using specified Raymarine cables, which may include ferrite chokes, is also essential to maintain EMC performance integrity.
