Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine AX8 E70321 camera is a monitoring solution that combines thermal and visible imaging for temperature measurement. Designed to detect hot spots and monitor onboard equipment, it provides continuous monitoring of engine compartments or other critical areas.
Configuration and connectivity
The AX8 camera is configured via its built-in Web interface, accessible from a PC, smart device, or LightHouse MFD connected via Wi-Fi. This interface allows setting hotspot alarms and accessing all functions and parameters. The system supports networking up to 8 AX8 cameras, providing extended coverage for monitoring.
Power and installation
The AX8 camera can be powered by the included PoE (Power over Ethernet) injector, or directly by a compatible PoE Class 2 MFD or network switch. The camera dimensions are 55 mm (width) x 80 mm (height) x 25.6 mm (depth), with an additional 13.5 mm depth for the Ethernet connection. It is designed for surface mounting, with mounting holes spaced 106 mm apart.
Monitoring and features
Monitoring is performed via the LightHouse MFD. The camera includes LED indicators for Ethernet and power diagnostics, facilitating operational status checks. The latest versions of user manuals are available online on the Raymarine website, ensuring access to complete and up-to-date information for installation and use.
