Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for Raymarine navigation systems compatible with HyperVision™, the plastic through-hull transducer starboard 12° HV-300 (R70726) provides an underwater detection solution for hulls with a deadrise angle of 12 degrees. This transducer is specifically optimized for installation on the starboard side of the vessel, ensuring correct beam orientation for optimal sonar image quality.
HyperVision™ technology and positioning
The HV-300 transducer integrates Raymarine’s HyperVision™ technology, which enhances the clarity and resolution of sonar images. Unlike transducers mounted on the transom like the HV-100, the HV-300 is a through-hull transducer. This installation type allows constant exposure to the water flow, reducing interference from hull turbulence, which is particularly beneficial for accurate readings at higher speeds. Its plastic construction makes it suitable for most hull types, especially fiberglass hulls.
Installation and compatibility
Installing the HV-300 transducer (R70726) requires drilling the hull and using high-quality marine-grade polyurethane sealants. It is designed to compensate for a 12° deadrise angle, which is essential for the transducer to emit vertical and side beams correctly aligned with the seabed. This model is a key component for Raymarine multifunction displays compatible with HyperVision™ technology, ensuring seamless integration and consistent sonar performance, in accordance with EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.
