Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for detailed marine surveillance, the Raymarine Quantum Q24C (T70266) radar dome integrates CHIRP pulse-compression technology and Doppler detection. This model is positioned as a compact solution for recreational vessels requiring precise target identification. It offers an alternative to traditional magnetron radars, with reduced power consumption and near-instant startup.
Advanced Doppler technology for optimized detection
The Quantum Q24C stands out for its ability to use the Doppler effect to identify moving targets. Approaching targets are colored red, while those moving away are displayed in green, enabling quick and intuitive interpretation of potential threats or friendly vessels. This feature significantly enhances safety at sea, particularly in reduced visibility conditions. Compared to the first generation of Quantum radars, the Quantum 2 Q24C adds this Doppler dimension, making it a relevant choice against competing domes that do not offer this capability.
Flexible connectivity and system integration
The Quantum Q24C radar dome offers flexible installation options with Wi-Fi and wired (RayNet) connectivity. The Wi-Fi connection simplifies wiring, reducing installation time and complexity while ensuring seamless integration with compatible Raymarine multifunction displays. For systems requiring maximum reliability or multiple displays, a direct connection via RayNet is also possible. This radar comes with 15-meter power and data cables, facilitating installation on most masts or arches. For advanced Doppler functions such as MARPA or automatic target acquisition, a heading data source is required.
