Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to integrate with Raymarine’s YachtSense digital control system, the YachtSense Signal Module E70597 extends automation and monitoring capabilities aboard. This versatile module provides an interface to connect up to 4 input signals or to drive 4 low-current outputs (250mA). It enables monitoring of various sensors such as tank levels, battery voltages, temperatures, or switches.
YachtSense system features and integration
The YachtSense system is a modular digital switching solution designed to provide control of onboard systems via custom user interfaces. Its modular design allows scalability across different boat model ranges. The Signal Module E70597 fits into this architecture by providing flexibility for signal management, allowing monitoring of critical data or control of low-current electronic devices or relays.
The YachtSense system features a redundant architecture with layers of redundancy, including an integrated keypad for manual control and an LCD screen for diagnostics. In the event of network disruption, the system maintains operation, and manual bypass via fuse provides temporary power in case of module failure. These reliability features also apply to the signal module, ensuring continuity of service for the monitoring and control functions it manages.
Technical specifications
This module is designed to operate with a nominal supply voltage of 12 Vdc / 24 Vdc, with an operating voltage range of 8 Vdc to 32 Vdc. It supports operating temperatures from -25°C to 55°C and humidity up to 93% at 40°C. Its water ingress protection complies with IPx6, making it suitable for marine environments. Each channel of the signal module can handle a maximum output current of 250 mA and a maximum input current of 50 mA.
