Detailed description
The SEA.AI Brain (OSC-4000) is a central processing unit designed to integrate artificial intelligence into existing marine thermal camera systems. Serving as the core of SEA.AI systems that add AI to thermal cameras, it provides advanced object detection and collision avoidance capabilities, enhancing maritime safety.
Extended Connectivity and Compatibility
This unit is powered by 12/24V DC and offers full connectivity with 2 Ethernet ports (RJ45) and 1 NMEA 2000 port (Micro-C connector) for seamless integration with onboard systems. The SEA.AI Brain is compatible with ONVIF-S thermal cameras, as well as the FLIR M364C and FLIR M364C LR series. Its user interface is accessible via multifunction displays (MFDs) from Garmin, Furuno, B&G, Navico, Simrad, and Raymarine, as well as on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
AI Object Detection and Real-Time Alerts
The SEA.AI Brain uses artificial intelligence and machine vision to process camera images, enabling real-time detection and classification of floating objects. It identifies a variety of hazards often missed by radar or AIS, including small objects, people overboard, buoys, debris, uncharted vessels, and marine mammals. The system offers three operating modes: collision avoidance, 360° surveillance, and manual mode, and emits audible alarms in case of potential risk. Its algorithms are continuously improved via remote software updates. It ensures stable performance even in harsh marine conditions thanks to automatic vertical stabilization for compatible cameras.
