Detailed description
Detailed description
The SEA.AI COMPETITION 320 is an advanced marine collision avoidance system, designed for offshore sailing and performance sailboats, including those with rotating masts. This system combines cutting-edge camera technology with artificial intelligence for real-time object detection and risk assessment.
Sensors and Data Processing
The system integrates two thermal cameras with a resolution of 320x256 pixels each, supplemented by a day/low-light camera at 1920x1080 pixels. Detection angles reach 110° during the day and twilight, and 50° at night. The vision head offers ±50° rotation and scans the environment three times per second for continuous updates. Data processing is handled by an NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Xavier™ processor with an NVIDIA Volta™ 512-core GPU and an ARM® v8.2 64-bit 8-core CPU, enabling AI-based object recognition.
Integration and Advanced Features
With a nominal power supply of 12V or 24V, the SEA.AI COMPETITION 320 connects via NMEA2000 and Ethernet. It is compatible with major marine systems such as B&G, Furuno (NavNet TZtouch 2 and 3), Garmin, Raymarine, and Simrad, as well as iOS, Android, and PC interfaces. The system automatically assesses collision risks and alerts the crew. It can detect dinghies up to 450 m, motorboats/sailboats up to 1300 m, and large vessels up to the horizon, including man-overboard detection up to 150 m. Three alarm modes (harbor, coastal, offshore) and three display modes (day, thermal, chart) are available. Regular software updates enhance detection and compatibility.
