The Simrad GO9 XSE (part number 000-14445-001) is a 9-inch multifunction display designed for navigation and sport fishing. Equipped with an integrated fishfinder, GPS, and Wi-Fi, this unit features a bright, wide multi-touch screen. Its 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 1200 nits brightness ensure clear visibility, with an 80-degree viewing angle top/bottom and 80-degree left/right. It meets maritime standard EN 60945:2002 for electromagnetic compatibility and is IPX6 and IPX7 certified, providing water resistance in marine environments, with an operating temperature range of -15°C to +55°C.
Integrated Sonar and GPS Capabilities
The GO9 XSE integrates a fishfinder capable of displaying CHIRP, DownScan, SideScan, and ForwardScan imagery. This package includes an HDI (Hybrid Dual Imaging™) transducer (83/200/455/800 kHz), which supports CHIRP mid/high and DownScan imaging, enabling detailed underwater detection down to a maximum depth of 1000 feet with the 83/200 kHz transducer. For navigation, an integrated 10 Hz, 32-channel GPS receiver ensures precise and rapid positioning.
Extended Connectivity and System Integration
With a Micro-C NMEA 2000® port, the Simrad GO9 XSE enables full integration for engine control, autopilot, and compatible audio systems such as SonicHub®2. Its integrated Wi-Fi facilitates software updates, chart downloads, and screen mirroring to mobile devices. A 5-pin Ethernet port (1 Mbit) is dedicated to integrating Simrad Broadband 3G™, Broadband 4G™, and Halo™ Pulse Compression radar systems. Bluetooth is also integrated. The unit features two MicroSD slots supporting cards up to 32 GB (NTFS format for cards over 32 GB).
Navigation Features and User Interface
The multi-touch interface of the GO9 XSE is designed for intuitiveness, offering a smartphone- or tablet-like experience. It is compatible with a wide range of charting options, including C-MAP® MAX-N+, Navionics®, Insight®, and NV Digital® Charts. TripIntel™ technology provides key trip planning data, including fuel range and tide levels, while a dedicated cruising chart page consolidates critical navigation data. It is also compatible with C-Zone digital switching systems. The unit operates on 10 to 17 V DC, with a typical power consumption of 12W and a low-power sleep mode.
