Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for recreational boating, the Simrad GO9 XSE is a 9-inch multifunction chartplotter integrating a depth sounder, GPS, and Wi-Fi. This large multi-touch screen features an intuitive tablet-style user interface with pinch-to-zoom and waypoint creation by simple touch. Its 1200-nit brightness ensures optimal visibility under all lighting conditions with 80° viewing angles on all axes. The product complies with EN 60945:2002 for maritime equipment and EN 301 489-17 V3.1.1 for electromagnetic compatibility of wideband data transmission systems.
Advanced navigation features
The GO9 XSE is equipped with a 10 Hz internal GPS receiver for precise positioning. It supports a wide range of cartography, including C-MAP (MAX N, MAX N+, Discover) and Navionics (Gold, NAV+ Platinum+), as well as C-MAP Easy Routing and Navionics Autorouting functions. The unit can manage 6,000 waypoints, 500 routes (with a maximum of 100 points per route), and 50 trails (up to 12,000 points). It has 90 MB of internal storage and two MicroSD slots, each supporting up to 32 GB.
For enhanced situational awareness, the system is compatible with Simrad Broadband 3G™/4G™ and Halo™ Pulse Compression radars. It also integrates TripIntel™ technology for trip planning, displaying fuel range, tide levels, and route history. AIS data reception is possible via NMEA 2000.
Connectivity and depth sounder
With its integrated depth sounder support, the Simrad GO9 XSE can display CHIRP, StructureScan® HD, DownScan Imaging™, and ForwardScan™ technologies (requires a compatible transducer, not included in this version). NMEA 2000® connectivity enables engine monitoring and integration with other marine equipment, while built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth facilitate screen sharing with mobile devices and software updates via the internet. The unit has a 5-pin Ethernet port (1 Mbit) and a Micro-C NMEA 2000 port. It is also compatible with BEP C-Zone digital switching systems and the SiriusXM® WM-3 satellite weather module (North America only).
