Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for 6 to 8-meter (20 to 28-foot) vessels, the Sleipner SE30/125S2 12V electric bow thruster is a compact and versatile maneuvering solution. It is suitable for installation at the bow or stern, providing 40 kg of thrust at 12V and 30 kg at 10.5V. This model incorporates Sleipner technologies to optimize performance and durability while simplifying installation.
Optimized performance and design
The SE30/125S2 operates at 12V with a power output of 1.5 kW (2 HP). Its 125 mm diameter tunnel is designed for integration into narrow bow sections. Equipped with Q-PROP™ technology, this thruster uses a five-blade propeller with an asymmetrical profile, reducing noise by up to 75% in controlled tests and 20-40% in real-world conditions while maintaining or improving thrust performance. The unit weighs 9.5 kg and requires a minimum battery capacity of 200 CCA (DIN) or 380 CCA (SAE).
Integrated features and safety
The patented Intelligent Power Control (IPC) system minimizes delays between direction changes, reducing mechanical wear and monitoring solenoids for automatic shutdown in case of blockage. Overheat protection stops the thruster before thermal damage occurs. Immersed components feature galvanic isolation to prevent stray currents and corrosion. The gearcase is permanently lubricated with a ceramic/carbon mechanical seal, ensuring protection against water intrusion. Safety is enhanced by two-button activation controls, automatic deactivation after 6 to 9 minutes of inactivity (with an original Side-Power panel), and protection against sudden direction changes. Wiring is "Plug and Go" type for simplified electrical installation.
Installation and flexibility
The SE30/125S2 offers installation flexibility, allowing mounting at any angle within the tunnel. The electric motor can be rotated 90 degrees on its bracket, facilitating integration into various boat configurations. Maximum operating time is 3 minutes for on/off mode use.
