Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for 13 to 19-meter yachts, the Sleipner SRV130/250T 12V retractable thruster is a bow and/or stern maneuvering system. It delivers 130 kg of thrust at 10.5VDC and up to 160 kg at 12VDC, with a power output of 6.5 kW (8.7 hp) at 10.5V, making harbor maneuvers and docking easier in tight spaces.
Performance and design
The SRV130/250T 12V uses a twin-propulsion system with two "Q-PROP™" five-blade skewed propellers made of fiberglass-reinforced composite. These propellers reduce noise by 20 to 40% in real-world conditions and up to 75% in controlled tests, while maintaining or improving thrust performance. The thruster requires a minimum battery capacity of 750 CCA SAE and a 500 Amp fuse (SMANL500). Its net weight is 82 kg with a 250 mm tunnel diameter.
Integrated technologies and safety
This thruster integrates the S-Link™ control system, based on CAN, providing bidirectional communication and Plug & Play wiring for simplified installation. The Intelligent Power Control (IPC) minimizes delays between direction changes, reducing mechanical wear and monitoring solenoids. Overheat protection automatically shuts down the system if temperatures rise too high. The gearbox lubrication is sealed for life with mechanical seals. Immersed parts are electrically isolated to prevent galvanic corrosion. Additional safety mechanisms include a pressure sensor that automatically retracts the thruster if boat speed is too high, and electronic protections against sudden direction changes.
Installation and operational flexibility
The SRV130/250T is installed vertically, with a flange, and features quick deployment/retraction. It requires a minimum depth of 125 mm to the top of the tunnel and 250 mm to the center of the tunnel. A PRO™ option is available, offering variable speed control for more precise maneuvering and a hold function for twin systems, allowing the boat to be held against the dock with a single button press. A flexible coupling protects the propeller shaft by compensating for minor misalignments.
