Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for vessels from 13 to 19 meters (42 to 62 feet), the SRV130/250T 24V Sleipner retractable thruster provides an efficient docking solution without drag. This bow or stern thruster, operating at 24V DC, features a dual-propeller system in a 250 mm tunnel, delivering 130 kg of thrust at 21VDC and up to 160 kg at 24VDC. Its 6.5 kW (8.7 hp) electric motor at 21V ensures sufficient power for maneuvering in various conditions.
Technology and Performance
The SRV130/250T 24V integrates Q-PROP™ technology with five-blade offset propellers, reducing noise levels by 20 to 40% in real-world conditions and up to 75% in controlled tests, while maintaining or improving thrust performance. Its retractable design eliminates hydrodynamic drag during navigation, ideal for high-performance sailboats and powerboats. Deployment and retraction are quick.
Safety and System Integration
The thruster is equipped with S-LINK™ control system, a CAN-bus architecture facilitating communication and "Plug and Play" integration with other Sleipner equipment via color-coded connectors. The Intelligent Power Control (IPC) system minimizes mechanical wear and monitors solenoids, automatically shutting off the thruster in case of blockage. Overheat protection stops the system before any damage occurs, and PRO versions can adjust power to extend safe runtime. The gearbox is sealed for life with ceramic and carbon mechanical seals, ensuring effective waterproofing. Galvanic isolation separates immersed parts from the boat’s electrical system, preventing corrosion.
Installation and Advanced Features
Designed for vertical installation, the SRV130/250T 24V retractable thruster offers mounting flexibility with the ability to rotate the electric motor by 90 degrees. Activation is secured by a double-button system to prevent accidental starts, and automatic deactivation occurs after approximately six minutes of inactivity. The optional PRO version allows variable-speed control and a "hold" function to keep the boat against the dock. The unit weighs approximately 37 kg. It requires a minimum battery capacity of 400 CCA SAE for 24V systems and a 325 Amp ANL fuse. The thruster has a 2-3 minute runtime limit at 20°C and standby power consumption below 1.5 Watt. It operates between -10°C and 60°C.
