Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar B150M (20°) is a bronze CHIRP through-hull transducer designed for underwater detection in freshwater and saltwater at shallow to moderate depths. This accessory is suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls and features a 20° tilted element to correct deadrise angles between 16° and 24°, ensuring optimal beam orientation toward the seabed for accurate readings.
CHIRP technology and performance
Equipped with mid-frequency CHIRP technology, the XSONIC Airmar B150M (20°) operates across a 95 kHz to 155 kHz range, providing a total bandwidth of 60 kHz. With a 300W output power, it delivers clear target resolution and improved fish separation. Its variable beam width of 26° to 17° across its optimal frequency range maximizes underwater coverage. It can detect fish down to 183 meters (600 feet), with a maximum depth of 183 meters (600 feet). It simultaneously provides depth and water temperature data with rapid response.
Design and compatibility
The XSONIC Airmar B150M (20°) housing is made of durable bronze (reference B619), making it compatible with fiberglass and wooden hulls. It is recommended for vee-bottom, planing, or displacement hulls and suitable for sport and commercial fishing vessels up to 8 meters (25-26 feet) in length. Installation requires a 51 mm (2 inch) hole. The 10-meter (33 feet) cable is equipped with a 9-pin XSONIC connector, ensuring integration with compatible Navico/Simrad systems. The transducer's ability to track the seabed at high speeds is a notable feature, and the mid-frequency CHIRP technology provides an expanded viewing area.
