Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar B60 (20°) thru-hull transducer is a 600 W depth sounder solution designed for fiberglass or wooden hulls. Featuring Tilted Element™ technology, this model ensures the sonar beam is oriented straight down, compensating for hull angles between 16° and 24° thanks to its 20° tilted ceramic element.
Sonar Performance and Versatility
This dual-frequency transducer operates at 50 kHz and 200 kHz. At 50 kHz, it provides a 45° beam and a depth detection capability up to 366 meters (1,200 feet). At 200 kHz, the beam is 12° with a maximum depth range of 213 meters (700 feet). The XSONIC Airmar B60 delivers fast-response depth and water temperature data, making it suitable for various fishing and recreational boating applications.
Design and Installation
With a bronze housing and a discreet design, the transducer protrudes only 5 mm (3/16") from the hull, minimizing drag and not affecting boat performance. Its weight is 1.4 kg (3 lbs). The transducer is compatible with fiberglass and wooden hulls. Installation requires drilling a 60 mm (2-3/8") hole and offers a usable shaft length of 68.5 mm (2.70"). The acoustic window is made of urethane. This model is intended for vessels with an overall length (LOA) up to 8 meters (26 feet), including center-console boats or trailerable vessels. It features a 9-pin black xSonic connector and a 1.8 m (6 ft) cable for compatibility with Navico displays (Lowrance and Simrad) with sonar support.
