Expert opinion

« Technical analysis: RAM MOUNTS ceiling mount kit for Furuno displays »

For marine installations where dashboard space is limited or optimal visibility from different angles is critical, the RAM MOUNTS RM-RAM-101-FU1U ceiling mount kit provides a relevant solution. The main advantage of this mount lies in its patented rubber ball-and-socket system, a feature of RAM Mounts products. Unlike fixed mounts, this mechanism allows full 360° adjustment on pivot, tilt, and rotation axes. This flexibility is crucial for adapting the display of the FCV588 fishfinder, the MODEL 1815 radar, or other compatible Furuno models (FCV628, FCV585, FCV587, FCV620, FCV627) to navigation conditions, the operator's position, or ambient light variations.

Made of aluminum with a powder coating, the mount is designed to withstand marine environment stresses, including humidity and vibrations, without compromising device stability. Installation is simplified by the inclusion of all necessary hardware. This type of mounting is particularly suitable for recreational or fishing boats where discreet integration and screen protection are required, or for secondary navigation stations needing quick and ergonomic data access.
