Detailed description
Detailed description
The Rebelcell 12V75 EDGE is a 12.8 V 75 Ah LiFePO4 battery, providing 960 Wh of nominal energy. It can supply separate power to a compatible 12 V fishfinder, after circuit dimensioning. If the 24 V Garmin Force Current propulsion is chosen, its power supply remains distinct; this motor also accepts 12 V propulsion.
Battery Reserve and Monitoring
The manufacturer specifies a maximum continuous discharge of 100 A, an IP66 enclosure, a net mass of 6.9 kg, and Bluetooth monitoring via its application. The battery measures 260 × 168 × 209 mm.
Force Current at 12 V: Electrical Compatibility to be Validated
The Force Current versions with pedals and without pedals also accept a nominal 12 V battery (motor input 10 to 32 VDC). The 12V75 EDGE supports 100 A continuous discharge and can be considered for 12 V propulsion. This is neither a Garmin certification nor a universal setup: plan for a 40 A continuous protection, at least 32 VDC, on the positive terminal, then validate M8 lugs, connectors, round-trip lengths, cable cross-sections, mounting, and available space. If this battery powers a fishfinder instead, its circuit is dimensioned separately from the propulsion.
Installation on a Kayak
The M8 threaded terminals require suitable lugs. Plan for circuit protection dimensioned according to the exact fishfinder model, other loads, and cable cross-section. Although the battery is IP66, Rebelcell recommends placing it out of standing water. The location and mounting on the kayak must be validated by measurement.
Charging
Use a compatible 12 V LiFePO4 charger with a 14.6 V CC/CV profile. A 29.2 V charger intended for a 24 V propulsion battery, if that architecture is chosen, is not suitable for this 12 V battery.
Regulated Delivery
This lithium battery falls under Class 9, UN3480. Online ordering is available with shipping by quotation: the €0 shipping charge shown at checkout does not mean free delivery. After the order, Skysat manually validates the destination, permissible transport route and charges before dispatch. Pickup at Skysat is offered only when physical local stock is available.
Charging compatibility requires checks. For this 12V LiFePO4 EDGE battery, see the Rebelcell 14.6V/35A charger with M8 ring terminals. Before connection, check the M8 terminals and the charging current allowed by the exact battery version. Wiring, protection and connecting accessories depend on the installation and are not included. Do not assume a universal fit.
Another directly documented charger: Rebelcell lists the separately sold WC14V20REPR 14.6V/20A LiFePO4 IP65 charger with M8 ring terminals for this M8-terminal 12V75 EDGE battery, below its 35A charging limit. Check polarity and installation. The charger does not include a complete motor harness.
