Detailed description

The Rebelcell 12V18 AV battery (2025 model) is a Li-ion battery with 11.1 V nominal voltage, 18 Ah capacity and 199 Wh. Net weight is 1.3 kg and dimensions are 151 × 65 × 95 mm. It features Faston terminals and its BMS allows up to 20 A continuous discharge. It can power a fishfinder or another device after verifying its input range (the battery operates between 9.0 and 12.6 V), power consumption and exact wiring.

The manufacturer states IP67 but recommends protecting the battery from standing water and placing it in a suitable housing or elevated position: do not plan for immersion. Mount it on the kayak, protect the positive terminal with a fuse sized for the circuit and size cables, connectors and restraints for the actual installation. The BMS does not replace this protection. No guaranteed autonomy or universal mounting compatibility is provided.

For charging, use a Rebelcell Li-ion charger with a 12.6 V CC/CV profile, with a maximum current of 6 A according to the 2025 datasheet warning, within the 0 to 45 °C range. LiFePO4 chargers at 14.6 V are not suitable. No compatibility with a specific Skysat fishfinder or universal mounting is claimed.

Can the IP67 battery be submerged?
