Iridium GO! exec: what it really is

The GO! exec is a portable satellite access point: a standalone unit (battery rated 6 h in communication, 24 h in standby, IP65) with a touchscreen, creating a Wi-Fi network on board and controlled from a smartphone.

Power: the underestimated criterion

A GO! exec draws little from the boat: it recharges like a mobile device and runs on its battery during the watch.

A Starlink, on the other hand, draws power continuously while powered — several tens of watts that, over 24 hours, really impact a sailboat’s battery bank.
