The Django yard, a series of fast cruisers designed by Pierre Rolland
Marée Haute is a Breton boatyard based in Trégunc (Finistère Sud, near Concarneau). It builds in series the sailboats of the Django range, all designed by naval architect Pierre Rolland, through vacuum infusion on foam sandwich.
Foundation and trajectory
The yard was founded in 2004 by Serge Calvez, a trained cabinetmaker, who commissioned Pierre Rolland to design a first prototype in molded wood. The range quickly shifted to series production in infused composite. The Django 7.70 was awarded Sailboat of the Year 2011 — a key moment that doubled the yard’s turnover and established the brand. The Django 12.70 was later nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2017.
Method and organization
Vacuum infusion construction on foam sandwich, from 5.50 m to 12.70 m. The Marée Haute group employs around 35 people across three sites: Trégunc (construction yard), Riec-sur-Belon, and Concarneau. Since 2017, the group also operates the dry storage facility Marée Haute – Minaouët (repairs, maintenance, storage).
