The yard building ORC catamarans and the Paradox trimaran, at the Lorient submarine base
Marsaudon Composites was founded in 1999 by Samuel Marsaudon and moved in 2000 to the hangars of the former Keroman submarine base in Lorient, at the heart of the Bretagne Sailing Valley. The yard specializes in vacuum-infused construction of fast cruising multihulls, with a consistent design philosophy: minimize displacement to achieve speeds close to offshore racing averages.
Three successive owners in five years
In January 2018, Samuel Marsaudon sold the yard to the duo Damien Cailliau and Frédéric Blandin. The company was then placed under collective proceedings, and in September 2023 the Lorient commercial court accepted the bid fromGrand Large Yachting (Outremer, Allures, Garcia group), which acquired the assets, the ORC brand, and the 65 employees. Xavier Desmarest, CEO of GLY, announced the takeover at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023.
The Ocean Rider Catamarans range (formerly TS)
In 2020, the yard renamed its TS range (Tres Simple) to Ocean Rider Catamarans. Current models are designed by Christophe Barreau, except the ORC 57, which was entrusted to Marc Lombard Yacht Design.

Paradox, the 63-foot cruising-racing trimaran
Alongside the catamaran range, Marsaudon built in 2010 theParadox (63 ft / 19.15 m) trimaran, designed by Nigel Irens and Benoît Cabaret from the moulds of Loïck Peyron’s Fujifilm (ORMA 60). Capable of 30 knots in racing, it has since completed three transatlantic crossings and sailed from Brittany to the Pacific.
