Designed for marine communication systems connectivity, the AC ANTENNAS 6m RG58C/U coaxial cable is a pre-assembled 6-meter solution with a 50 Ohm impedance. This cable is MIL-C-17F NU certified and features double shielding, ensuring protection against electromagnetic interference in marine environments.
RG58C/U cable specifications
The RG58C/U cable uses a stranded tinned copper inner conductor and a solid polyethylene (PE) dielectric. Its tinned copper braid shield provides approximately 94.2% coverage. With an outer diameter of approximately 4.95 mm (0.195 inches), it features a non-contaminating black PVC jacket. Its capacitance is approximately 30.8 pF/ft and it can withstand a maximum voltage of 1900 Vrms. This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to 80°C and is suitable for frequencies up to 1000 MHz.
FME-female connectors and UHF-male adapters
This cable is equipped with two FME-female connectors, miniature and compact 50 Ohm RF connectors ideal for narrow cable passages due to their small outer diameter of approximately 7 mm and 0.75 mm thread pitch. They are designed for use up to 2 GHz and ensure a stable connection over more than 500 mating cycles. The kit also includes two FME-male/UHF-male (PL-259) adapters, allowing conversion from FME-male to UHF-male connectors. These adapters have a 50 Ohm impedance and are optimized for frequencies up to 300 MHz. Made of nickel-plated brass with a gold-plated center pin and a PTFE or Delrin dielectric, they offer a working voltage of 500V RMS and a dielectric strength of 1500V RMS, with insertion loss below 0.2 dB/3GHz. These components facilitate integration of the cable with various marine radio frequency equipment, including Furuno systems.
