Detailed description
Detailed description
The compact through-hull transducer AIRMAR AI-165T/265LH-PM488-12P is designed for advanced navigation systems, combining multibeam sonar capabilities (DFF3D) and traditional CHIRP frequencies in a single housing. This unified design, with a urethane housing, is optimized for pocket-mount through-hull installation, suitable for fiberglass hulls and high-speed vessels requiring hull modification for integration.
Advanced Sonar Capabilities
The AI-165T/265LH-PM488-12P operates on a 165 kHz DFF3D frequency, offering a 120° lateral beam width. For CHIRP, it covers a low band from 42 kHz to 65 kHz and a high band from 130 kHz to 210 kHz. CHIRP beam widths range from 25° to 16° in low frequency and from 10° to 6° in high frequency, enabling extended coverage and target discrimination. Maximum depth is 914 meters for low frequencies and 304 meters for high frequencies.
Integration and Features
This transducer integrates a motion sensor and a water temperature sensor. It is compatible with Furuno’s DFF3D multibeam sonar module for 3D underwater visualization and side-scanning capabilities, as well as with compatible TZTouch3 displays. The transducer is also recommended for DFF1-UHD installations and supports Bottom Discrimination and Accu-fish functions when used with DFF1-UHD without TID. The supplied cable is 12 meters long and includes a "pigtail" cable for DFF1-UHD, a 7-pin connector, and a 12-pin connector for DFF3D/TZTouch3.
