Designed for precise underwater detection, the through-hull AIRMAR B175HW/12 delivers high-performance CHIRP capabilities. This single-band transducer, rated at 1 kW, operates over a High CHIRP frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz. Its bronze housing, suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls, features a 12° tilted element to compensate for keel angles from 8° to 15°.
Advanced Detection and Imaging
The B175HW/12 is equipped with a constant wide beam of 25° (High-Wide) across its frequency range. This characteristic provides underwater coverage beneath the boat that is twice that of traditional narrow-beam transducers, improving fish detection in the upper water column. The high-frequency CHIRP band (150–250 kHz) delivers high-resolution performance in shallow water, detailed seabed discrimination, and precise target separation.
Technical Specifications and Installation
With a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet), this depth sounder provides rapid-response depth and water temperature readings. It is recommended for boats measuring 8 to 11 meters (25 to 36 feet). Installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) diameter hole. Its low-profile design and Tilted Element™ technology optimize sonar performance by ensuring horizontal orientation of the ceramic element. The transducer also integrates Airmar’s exclusive Xducer ID® technology for transducer identification. The transducer cable measures 9 meters.
