Connectivity and Integration
The CYPHO-150 provides extended connectivity options for integration into various navigation systems. It includes a USB 2.0 port for connection to a PC or laptop, and an NMEA 0183 interface with independent input and output baud rates. Supported baud rates are 4800, 9600 and 38400, with 38400 bps set as default and configurable via the supplied utility. The unit operates on 12/24V DC or directly via USB (5V DC / 500 mA), drawing less than 1.60 Watt.
Performance and AIS Data
The AMEC CYPHO-150 receiver operates across 156.025 to 162.025 MHz, using default channels CH 87B (161.975 MHz) and CH 88B (162.025 MHz). It receives all AIS message types, including static data (MMSI, IMO number, call sign, ship type, dimensions, GPS antenna position), voyage-related data (draught, cargo, destination, ETA), dynamic data (position, UTC time, COG, SOG, heading, rate of turn, navigation status), and safety-related messages (SRM). Its compact dimensions of 128 mm (width) x 36 mm (height) x 88 mm (depth) and weight of 210 g (cable included) simplify installation. The unit is certified to IEC 60945 Ed. 4.0, IEC 62287-1 Ed. 2.1 and carries the CE mark under RED 2014/53/EU directive.
