Detailed description
Detailed description
The AMEC CYPHO-150S AIS receiver is designed to enhance safety at sea by receiving all AIS data (Class A and B messages). It features two parallel AIS receivers with a reception sensitivity of -107 dBm for maximum range. The CYPHO-150S stands out with its integrated VHF splitter, allowing a single VHF antenna to be shared between the VHF radio and the AIS receiver, simplifying installation and reducing clutter.
Connectivity and System Integration
This AIS receiver offers extended connectivity. It includes a USB 2.0 port for computer connection and an NMEA 0183 interface with independent input and output at selectable baud rates. Supported NMEA 0183 baud rates are 4800, 9600, and 38400 bps, with a default of 38400 bps. Power options are flexible: 12 or 24 VDC, or via USB for 5 V DC / 500 mA, with power consumption under 1.60 W.
AIS Data and Performance
The CYPHO-150S receives AIS messages on two default channels: CH 87B (161.975 MHz) and CH 88B (162.025 MHz), with a 25 kHz bandwidth. It processes static data (MMSI number, IMO number, call sign, vessel type, length, beam, GPS antenna position), voyage-related data (draught, cargo, destination, ETA), dynamic data (position, UTC time, COG, SOG, heading, rate of turn, navigation status), and safety messages (SRM). Its compact dimensions of 128 mm (W) x 36 mm (H) x 88 mm (D) and weight of 210 g (including cable) ease onboard integration. It is certified to IEC 60945 Ed. 4.0 and IEC 62287-1 Ed. 2.1, ensuring compliance with maritime standards.
