Designed as the core of advanced sailing navigation systems, the B&G Zeus³S MPU Only with basic world charting is a high-performance processing unit. It integrates an iMX 8 processor (Quad Core or six-core) that delivers significantly faster response times, up to twice the speed of previous models, enabling smooth page changes and transitions as well as improved multitasking capabilities.
Connectivity and Accuracy
The Zeus³S MPU offers multiple connectivity options, including integrated Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n), Ethernet (1 or 2 yellow 5-pin connectors), NMEA 2000 (1 Micro-C port) and NMEA 0183. It also features HDMI and video inputs for connecting external displays and supports Bluetooth 4.0. For positioning, an internal 10 Hz GPS antenna provides 3-meter horizontal accuracy, with support for WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and GLONASS corrections.
Integration and Advanced Features
This processing unit supports storage via two Micro SD card slots or a single slot, as well as a USB port. It can record up to 6,000 waypoints, 500 routes (with a maximum of 100 points per route) and 50 tracks (up to 12,000 track points). The Zeus³S MPU can drive two independent HD displays, whether touchscreen or not, facilitating the creation of a fully customizable helm system. It integrates B&G sailing navigation functions such as SailSteer, PredictWind, RacePanel, LayLines, SailingTime, StartLine, Advanced Windplot and weather routing. Compatibility with C-MAP® DISCOVER™ X and REVEAL™ X charts, including C-MAP safety alerts, enhances navigation planning and safety.
Technical and Environmental Specifications
The system operates on a supply voltage of 10 to 31.2 V DC, with a recommended 3A fuse. It is designed to withstand marine conditions with an operating temperature range of -15°C to +55°C and an IPx6 and IPx7 waterproof rating. Physical dimensions are 287 mm (width), 166 mm (height) and 90 mm (depth), with a weight of approximately 1.9 kg. The integrated Wi-Fi allows connection to mobile devices for remote viewing and control via the B&G app, as well as simplified software updates.
