Designed for advanced energy management aboard, the BEP 772-DBC battery switch is an integrated solution for 48V systems. This device allows control of two battery banks and two separate loads, consolidating the functions of three battery switches into a single compact unit. It stands out for its ability to optimize power distribution while providing overcurrent protection for demanding applications.
Power management and safety
The 772-DBC supports a continuous current of 400A, an intermittent current of 600A for 5 minutes, and a cranking capacity of 1500A for 10 seconds, with a maximum voltage of 48V DC. Its intuitive operation (1/1&2/Parallel/Off) includes a unique "Isolated-On" position. This safety feature allows power to be maintained to service loads (such as house loads and VHF radio) even when the engine is electrically isolated, a critical feature for maintenance or emergencies. The 10mm (3/8") tinned copper studs ensure optimal conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Installation and integration
The BEP 772-DBC battery switch is engineered for ease of installation and system integration. Its "EZ-Mount" design enables front wiring, simplifying access and implementation. With a standard footprint of 3.85" x 3.85", it fits easily into various electrical panels. Its compatibility with the BEP Pro Installer busbar range allows direct clustering, enabling faster and more compact installations. Removable side plates and a detachable knob enhance installation and maintenance flexibility. Constructed from reinforced fiber plastics and using stainless steel nuts/washers, this battery switch offers IP67 protection and ignition resistance tested to UL1107, ensuring reliability in the marine environment.
