Single wall: implications

Non-adhesive tubing grips the support mechanically without sealing it. This is suitable for sheathing, identification, and insulation repair. For a junction requiring watertightness — crimped ferrule exposed, wet bulkhead passage — use adhesive tubing: the adhesive version is available in the same diameter.

Selecting the correct diameter

The Ø 24 mm must fit over the largest point to be covered, and the Ø 8 mm after shrinking must be smaller than the support for the tubing to grip. Between these two values, the 3:1 ratio provides a comfortable adjustment range.
