Designed for power management of small outboard motors and diesel engines, the BLUE SEA m series 300A red single-pole battery switch (6006B-BSS) provides a reliable and secure disconnection solution. This switch allows switching a single battery to a single load group, providing a simple yet effective circuit cut-off. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring direct battery isolation for safety or maintenance.
Performance and robustness
The 6006B-BSS model offers a continuous rating of 300A DC and an intermittent rating of 500A DC for 5 minutes, in compliance with UL 1107. Its starting capacity reaches 900A DC for 30 seconds. It supports a maximum voltage of 48V DC. The terminal studs are made of tinned copper, 3/8"-16 (M10), ensuring maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. Their one-piece design prevents loosening over time. The recommended torque for cables is 13.56 N·m (120 in-lb), with compatibility for 4/0 AWG (120 mm²) cables to meet nominal performance.
Safety and installation
This switch is rated IP66, providing protection against powerful water jets and particles. It is also ignition-protected, meeting UL 1500, SAE J1171 Marine, and ISO 8846 Marine requirements, making it safe for installation on gasoline-powered boats. An insulating cover with three detachable sections protects the rear contacts and facilitates cable access from different directions. The removable knob adds a layer of security, allowing service locking. Mounting options include surface, front panel, or rear panel, with mounting holes accepting #10 screws.
