Detailed description
Detailed description
The C-MAP NORTH AND BALTIC SEAS-MAX electronic marine chart (reference EN-M019) is designed for navigation in the North and Baltic Seas, including the northern east coast of England. This product provides detailed vector charting and is supplied in C-MAP MAX (MegaWide) format, compatible with many chartplotters and multifunction displays.
Charting and Updates
C-MAP’s proven vector charting ensures accurate data representation. To maintain the relevance of the information, C-MAP MAX charts are updated twice a year. These updates include the latest details on navigational aids, port facilities, marina services, and other essential information for safety and route planning. The chart is typically supplied on a microSD card with an SD adapter, or as a C-Card.
Integrated Features
The C-MAP NORTH AND BALTIC SEAS-MAX chart integrates navigation aids. Dynamic NavAids provide information on navigational aids (name, color, frequency, light range). Dynamic tide and current data allow anticipation of tide times, levels, direction, and strength. For safety, the Guardian Alarm performs an automatic forward scan to detect obstacles, while Route-Check extends this function by identifying obstacles on planned route segments between waypoints.
Planning and Detailed Information
For port call planning, the chart includes detailed port and marina plans, with information on anchorage locations and regulated areas. High-definition photos and diagrams of ports, marinas, and navigation marks are available. Depth and elevation data are displayed with distinct colors. The Perspective View feature offers a 45-degree tilted view of the navigation area. The C-Marina database provides details on marinas, including hours, marina office contacts, nearby accommodations and restaurants, and VHF frequencies. Finally, the chart integrates points of interest (POI) and road mapping for onshore exploration.
