Multi Gateway

The CYCLOPS Multi Gateway (BG11) bridge is an integration device designed to connect Cyclops Marine wireless load sensors to onboard electronic systems. It enables comprehensive rig monitoring and the transmission of navigation data.

Connectivity and System Integration

The Multi Gateway offers extended compatibility with NKE embedded systems, NMEA 0183, and NMEA 2000. It also features Ethernet connectivity for displaying Smart Rig Manager application data on compatible multifunction displays. The device is designed for seamless integration into the vessel’s network via a selection of compatible input cables.

Monitoring and Data Storage Capabilities

This unit can manage up to 50 wireless load sensors simultaneously, allowing extended tracking of rigging points and sail control. It includes internal memory capable of storing up to 500 days of continuous data, facilitating long-term analysis of rigging loads. The gateway can also convert 0–5V analog signals from other equipment (such as hydraulic pressure gauges) into digital values for display on instruments.

Design and Advanced Features

With an IP54-rated enclosure, the Multi Gateway is protected against dust ingress and water splashes, and is recommended for installation below deck. Its dimensions are 13.7 x 6.3 x 3.1 cm and it weighs 118g. An external gateway antenna is included. A wired dome antenna is recommended as an option for installations more than 8 meters from sensors or on fiberglass hulls to ensure optimal signal strength. Sensor configuration and management are performed via the Smart Fittings Manager app or a web interface via integrated Wi-Fi. The system can trigger automatic alarms when load data reaches predefined limits. Detailed load data can be downloaded and exported for in-depth performance analysis and strategic race planning.
