Detailed description
The CZone DDS interface (reference 80-911-0260-01) is a digital switching module designed for the management of marine electrical systems and recreational vehicles. It replaces traditional switch and fuse panels, providing an integrated solution for controlling and monitoring onboard equipment.
Technical specifications and protection
This module operates on 12V or 24V DC power systems, with a main supply voltage ranging from 9V to 32V. It supports a maximum total current of 60A. Circuit protection is provided by MINI Blade fuses with a maximum interrupt rating of 1000A and a maximum voltage of 32VDC. The interface is spark-proof and features IP65 protection against water intrusion when properly covered. Its shock resistance is rated at 20G. It complies with CE, RCM, NMEA2000, and UK-CA standards.
Connectivity and advanced features
The CZone DDS interface has a total of 40 channels, including 12 relay channels with mechanical fuse bypass, 5 MOSFET channels with overcurrent protection, 3 configurable analog inputs (voltage or resistance), and 5 positive/negative digital input/outputs. Network connectivity is provided via an NMEA 2000 interface through a single Micro-C CAN port, with a LEN of 1. This integration allows control from multifunction displays (MFD) by brands such as Simrad, Lowrance, B&G, and Garmin, as well as CZone Touch control panels or mobile devices via a wireless interface. Circuits can also be controlled by physical switches.
Features include advanced bilge pump management across all relay channels, enabling tracking of total operating time, automatic alarm triggering, and configurable delays. Each channel offers built-in overcurrent and short-circuit protection with automatic reset. Individual manual bypass switches ensure control even in the event of a network issue. LEDs indicate the status (on/off/fault) of each channel. The module supports lighting control via pulse-width modulation (PWM), tank level monitoring via analog sensor inputs, and battery life optimization through integrated load shedding.
Installation and environment
With dimensions of 351.4mm x 164.5mm x 53.0mm and a weight of 1040g (excluding connectors), the interface has a compact form factor. It uses Deutsch plug-and-play connectors for secure and watertight electrical connections. The operating temperature range is from -25°C to +70°C, and the storage temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C. Standby power consumption is less than 120mA.
