Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for underwater activities, the Garmin inReach® Mini dry case provides protection for your inReach Mini satellite communicator. It allows divers to carry their device safely, ensuring essential communication capabilities once back on the surface.
Protection and compatibility
This case is certified for immersion up to 10 ATM, equivalent to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). It is compatible with Garmin inReach Mini and inReach Mini 2 satellite communicators. Its construction features impact-resistant hard plastic, a double-latch locking mechanism, and dual O-rings, ensuring optimal waterproofing. The case dimensions are approximately 10.8 x 8.46 x 4.91 cm (4.25 x 3.33 x 1.93 inches).
Features and use
While GPS tracking and satellite communication are not operational underwater, the case ensures the inReach Mini is ready for immediate use upon surfacing for two-way satellite messaging, GPS positioning, and SOS emergency functionality. It can be securely attached to diving gear, such as a D-ring on a BCD, using a carabiner. Specific functions, such as triggering an SOS, can be controlled remotely via compatible Garmin dive computers (Descent G1, Descent MK1, Descent MK2 series) or fēnix® watches without opening the case. To maintain waterproofing, it is essential to check for debris on the O-rings before each use, rinse the case with fresh water after each dive, and replace the O-rings periodically.
