Designed for marine applications requiring precise bottom detection, the FURUNO 82B-35R depth sounder is a 2 kW multifrequency transducer. Its FRP (fiberglass-reinforced plastic) body and robust construction are suited to demanding marine environments. This depth sounder offers versatility thanks to its wide bandwidth, enabling efficient use across a frequency range of 65 to 110 kHz.
Performance and compatibility
The FURUNO 82B-35R depth sounder features a 2 kW power output, ensuring deep-water detection performance. Its beam angles vary depending on the selected frequency: 12.5 degrees at 68 kHz, 9.6 degrees at 88 kHz, and 7.7 degrees at 107 kHz, providing adaptability to different fishing conditions and depths. It is compatible with a range of FURUNO depth sounders, including the FCV-295, FCV-1150, FCV-1100, FCV-1200, DFF3, BBFF3, FCV-1900, DFF3-UHD, and DI-FFAMP models. When paired with the FCV-1100 or FCV-1200 depth sounders, it maintains high sensitivity even with a frequency shift of ±10% for effective interference suppression.
Installation and technical specifications
With a diameter of approximately 130 mm and a height of 55 mm, the FURUNO 82B-35R depth sounder weighs 4 kg. It is primarily designed for hull-mount installation and can be fitted in the transducer wells of the 88B-10 or 100B-10R models. A transom-mount option is also available. The transducer is supplied with a 15-meter cable but without a connector, requiring professional wiring for system integration. Its frequency range of 65 to 110 kHz makes it suitable for various maritime applications.
