Designed for demanding marine environments, the Fusion Signature 6-channel 1 500-watt marine amplifier (model SG-DA61500) is a robust and high-performance audio solution. It features Class D amplification technology, known for its efficiency, reducing battery current draw while delivering high power output. This design is particularly well-suited for marine audio systems. The amplifier provides a peak power of 1 500 watts and versatile RMS power for various speaker configurations.
Marine audio performance
With an RMS power output of 100 W per channel at 4 Ohms and 140 W per channel at 2 Ohms (at 14.4 V input), this amplifier can power up to six pairs of speakers or a combination of four pairs of speakers and a subwoofer. In bridged mode, it delivers 280 W RMS x 3 at 4 Ohms. Its frequency response ranges from 10 Hz to 40 kHz (-3dB @ 4 Ohms), ensuring detailed sound reproduction. The unit features adjustable input sensitivity from 0.3 V to 8 V RMS and a nominal input impedance of 7k Ohms. For audio customization, it includes adjustable high-pass/low-pass filters from 32 Hz to 320 Hz and a Bass Boost control from 0 to 9 dB, specifically for zone 3.

The SG-DA61500 amplifier benefits from a marine-ready design with conformal-coated PCBs for superior protection against moisture, salt, and UV, extending its lifespan at sea. Its heat sink is cast from a rigid aluminum alloy with optimized fin spacing to maximize thermal dissipation, ensuring stable performance. The control face is protected by a stainless-steel mirror finish, concealing and shielding connections and adjustments. The unit is built and tested according to Fusion’s True-Marine™ philosophy, offering protection against salt spray, temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and UV.
Configuration and installation options
This amplifier supports flexible speaker configurations, handling 2-Ohm and 4-Ohm loads, and allows channel bridging. Inputs and outputs are zone-designated in line with Fusion’s entertainment system philosophy. The unit is designed for a 12 Vdc power supply (model SG-DA61500) and requires inline fuse or circuit breaker protection (not included) rated at 120 A for 12 V models. Power wiring must be 4 AWG (21.1 mm²), and speaker wiring must be 16 AWG (1.31 mm²). Installation must be in a dry, well-ventilated location at least 55 cm from a magnetic compass to avoid interference. Its maximum current draw is 75 A at 14.4 V input, with ATC blade fuses of 3 x 40 A compliant with SAE J1171. Dimensions are 420 mm (W) x 210 mm (D) x 57 mm (H), weighing 5.15 kg with the cover.
