Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for marine navigation systems, the Garmin BlueNet™ network cable 30 cm (part number 010-12528-11) provides fast and reliable connectivity between compatible Garmin devices. This cable is a key component of the Garmin BlueNet network architecture, facilitating the integration of various onboard equipment.
Connectivity and Performance
This network cable features four twisted pairs, optimized for data transmission and Wake on LAN (WoL) functionality, enabling remote power-on of connected devices. It supports connection speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps), which is required for high-resolution video streams and advanced sensor integration. Its compact, water-resistant marine connectors, similar in size to NMEA 2000® connectors, are designed for durable installation and increased reliability in marine environments.
Integration and Compatibility
The Garmin BlueNet™ network cable is the primary link for Garmin BlueNet devices, including switches such as the Garmin BlueNet 20 and gateways like the Garmin BlueNet 30. It is part of Garmin’s BlueNet technology, which relies on standard network protocols with minimal configuration required. It also supports compatibility with third-party equipment, including IP cameras, without the need for a Garmin Marine Network PoE isolator. Additionally, it facilitates the integration of existing Garmin Marine Network devices when used with a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway. Its OEM-quality construction ensures marine durability for demanding offshore conditions.
