Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin GT24UHD-TM sonar is an all-in-one transducer designed to provide high-definition sonar images of fish and underwater structures. Integrating Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and CHIRP High-Wide technologies, it enables detailed visualization of the seafloor with optimized target separation. This model serves as a versatile solution for recreational boaters seeking superior image clarity for fishing and navigation, offering an alternative to separate CHIRP and scanning sonar setups.
Advanced Sonar Capabilities
The GT24UHD-TM combines two distinct sonar technologies. The traditional CHIRP High-Wide sonar operates on a frequency range of 150 to 240 kHz with a transmit power of 350 W, capable of reaching a maximum depth of 800 feet (approximately 244 meters) and a beam width of 24°-16°. This technology ensures precise fish detection and excellent target separation, even at significant depths. Complementing this, the UHD ClearVü CHIRP scanning sonar, with a frequency of 800 kHz (range 760-880 kHz) and 350 W power, delivers extremely detailed images of underwater structures and relief up to 200 feet (approximately 61 meters) deep, with a narrow beam of 0.94°x60°. This resolution allows individual fish and submerged objects to be distinguished with enhanced clarity.
Design and Installation
With its compact all-in-one design, the Garmin GT24UHD-TM sonar comes with rear mount and electric motor mounting options, facilitating installation on a variety of vessels, from small fishing boats to kayaks. It includes a precise water temperature sensor. The sonar is compatible with rear mount angles from 0° to 70° and connects via a 20-foot (approximately 6.1-meter) 8-pin cable to compatible Garmin displays. This installation versatility sets it apart from rear-mount-only transducers, offering flexibility for electric motor users.
