The portable mount assembly is done in several steps:

Insert the M6 nut into the bottom part of the swivel base.
Place the swivel base on the portable mount and secure it with three M4x10 mm screws.
Position the clamp bracket on the swivel base.
Install the M6x1 mm screw through the bracket and the base, then tighten to the desired position.
Slide a rubber washer onto each mounting button and screw the buttons onto the sides of the device.
Place the device into the clamp bracket and tighten the mounting buttons.
For 6- and 7-inch devices, it is recommended to install the mount on the rear hole pattern to provide more clearance.

To connect the cables:

Connect the 4-pin power cable and the transducer cable to the ECHOMAP™ unit.Connect the transducer’s power wires to the bare wire connectors on the power cable.Connect the 2-pin power cable to the transducer module.Slide the red spade connector onto the positive (red) battery terminal.Slide the black spade connector onto the negative (black) battery terminal.

To install the Panoptix ice fishing transducer:

Slide the float along the cable, between the transducer and the directional indicator. Loosen the button to adjust the depth and direction of the transducer, then tighten the button to lock it in place. Position the transducer for the desired view. With the transducer cable connected to the back of the device, immerse the transducer in the water. Rotate the cable to orient the transducer. For optimal performance, the top of the transducer should be positioned below the underside of the ice.

The transducer angle must be adjusted for optimal imaging in each mode:

For LiveVü Forward mode, tilt the transducer forward and slightly downward. In shallow water (less than 4.6 m), adjust the angle down by 1 or 2 notches. In deeper water (more than 4.6 m), adjust down by 2 or 3 notches. For LiveVü Down mode, tilt the transducer straight down. After adjustment, tighten the mounting button or bolt to keep the unit stable during use.

Once the portable mount is assembled, place it in the bag to make transport easier and protect it from the elements:

Insert the portable mount into the bag. If necessary, coil any excess power cable and transducer cables around the handle. Close all zippers. The bag is equipped with loops to secure it if needed. A rear zipper allows quick access to charge the battery, and there are inner/outer pockets for the wall charger and transducer.

To clean the transducer and prevent damage:

Remove dirt with a soft cloth and mild detergent. If dirt is stubborn, use a non-metallic scouring pad or a putty knife to scrape off deposits. Wipe the transducer dry. Never use solvents (such as mineral spirits, acetone, or MEK) or an electric sander or pressure washer, as these can permanently damage the transducer’s surface.

The portable bracket included in the pack is designed to accommodate different device sizes. For 4-inch and 5-inch devices, the bracket is installed on the front hole pattern. For 6-inch and 7-inch devices, the bracket is installed on the rear hole pattern, providing more space to close the front zipper of the bag.

The all-in-one power and transducer cable (part number 010-12676-40) is compatible with ECHOMAP™ units of 7 inches or larger.
