The primary function of this heat-shrink tubing is to provide reliable electrical insulation and enhanced sealing to protect connections and cables from moisture, corrosion, and contaminants.

Unlike a standard heat-shrink tubing, this tubing has an internal adhesive that melts when heated. The adhesive spreads and creates a watertight seal, providing superior protection against water and external agents.

This heat-shrink tubing is black and has a nominal diameter of 12mm.

This conduit is sold by the meter, allowing you to order the exact length needed for your project and minimizing waste.

The internal adhesive provides several key benefits:

It creates a hermetic seal against moisture and water. It protects against corrosion and contaminants. It ensures stable electrical insulation and enhanced mechanical protection of connections.

Yes, in addition to electrical insulation and waterproofing, the heat-shrunk sleeve provides increased mechanical protection, helping to reinforce cables and connections against abrasion and physical stress.

No, once the heat-shrink tubing has been heated and shrunk, and the adhesive has melted to seal the connection, it cannot be reused. It is designed for single, permanent use.

To install the sleeve, cut to the desired length, slide it over the connection or cable to be protected. Then apply a uniform heat source (such as a heat gun) to the sleeve. The sleeve will shrink, and the internal adhesive will melt and flow to seal the connection.

A heat gun is recommended for shrinking the sleeve. This ensures uniform and controlled heat application, essential for optimal shrinkage and proper adhesive activation.

Yes, to ensure maximum adhesion of the adhesive and effective sealing, it is recommended to clean and degrease the surface of the cable or connection before applying the heat-shrink tubing.

Yes, this sleeve is sold by the meter and can be easily cut to the exact length you need using a pair of scissors or a utility knife.

A heat-shrink sleeve is correctly installed when you observe that it has fully retracted to tightly conform to the shape of the cable or connection, and the internal adhesive has melted and slightly flowed out at the ends, forming a watertight seal.

For uniform shrinkage, it is crucial to apply heat evenly across the entire surface of the sleeve. A heat gun, by moving it constantly, helps achieve a homogeneous result and good adhesive distribution.

This sleeve is compatible with most electrical cables with an outer diameter of 12 mm or less, allowing a tight fit after shrinking. It is important to check your cable's diameter to ensure a proper fit.
