Designed for marine, domestic, and industrial applications, the self-priming flexible impeller pump Jabsco Water Puppy 2000 12 V (part number 23680-4003) is a bronze unit fitted with a nitrile flexible impeller and a lip seal. Powered by a 12 V DC motor, it is suitable for transferring industrial aqueous fluids, marine/domestic waste discharges (including bilge pumping) and other liquids compatible with its construction materials. Its design allows it to handle solids and ensures continuous operation.
Technical specifications
The Water Puppy 2000 12 V pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 32 litres per minute at a head of 3 metres. It features self-priming capability up to 1.2 metres. The connections accept flexible hoses with 25 mm (1") internal diameter or 1/2" BSP female threaded ports. It operates on 12 V, with a recommended 15 A fuse and 250 mm long electrical cables (2 mm² / 14 AWG). Its dimensions are 182 mm (length) x 120 mm (width) x 94.3 mm (height), weighing 3.0 kg.
Design and installation
The bronze pump body and nitrile impeller give the Water Puppy 2000 12 V corrosion resistance and the ability to transfer liquids containing small debris. It must be installed on a flat surface in a dry, well-ventilated location with full access for maintenance. In vertical position, the motor must be located above the pump head. Rubber grommets are supplied to minimize vibration during mounting. It is imperative never to run the pump dry, as water is essential for lubricating the impeller. Electrical connections must be made in dry locations and protected by an appropriately rated fuse or circuit breaker located as close as possible to the power source. The pump is designed for ambient temperatures from -5°C to 60°C and pumped fluid temperatures from 10°C to 90°C.
