The JL Audio MMR-40 marine audio remote is a NMEA 2000® network controller designed to provide complete auxiliary control of MediaMaster® source units. It does not function as a standalone receiver and requires a connection to a MediaMaster® unit to operate. This device allows centralized management of your JL Audio audio system’s functions from a secondary location on the boat.

Display and Controls

The MMR-40 features a 2.8-inch high-brightness color LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It can replicate all display information from the connected MediaMaster® receiver. Controls include eight push buttons and a three-way rotary knob, providing access to all MediaMaster® functions. Independent settings for day/night display themes and lighting controls are available for optimal visibility in varying light conditions.

Connectivity and Installation

Certified NMEA 2000® (LEN 4) with a Micro-C connector, the MMR-40 can connect directly to the vessel’s NMEA 2000® network or via JL Audio network power cables (sold separately) to simulate an isolated network. A USB connector is also present for future software updates. For installation, a mounting template and required screws are included.
