Detailed description
Detailed description
The JL Audio XDM1000/1 marine monoblock amplifier is designed to power subwoofers with high output in a compact form factor. Featuring JL Audio’s NexD™ Class D switching technology, this amplifier optimizes energy efficiency while minimizing bulk and heat output, making it suitable for marine and automotive environments.
Performance and reliability in marine environments
With a marine-grade construction, the XDM1000/1 amplifier chassis is weather-resistant. It features a black powder-coated finish, a sealed control cover, and stainless steel hardware to resist corrosion. It delivers a continuous RMS power output of 1000 watts x 1 at 2 ohms (under 14.4V), 800 watts x 1 at 3 ohms, and 600 watts x 1 at 4 ohms. Under 12.5V, it provides 800 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, 650 watts x 1 at 3 ohms, and 500 watts x 1 at 4 ohms. Its frequency response ranges from 7 Hz to 500 Hz (+0, -1dB), with a signal-to-noise ratio >83 dB.
Signal integration and control
The JL Audio XDM1000/1 features balanced differential inputs for effective noise suppression and a dual-mode input filter for clarity in marine and automotive environments. It includes a variable low-pass filter adjustable from 50 to 500 Hz (12 or 24 dB/octave slope) and a switchable/disconnectable subsonic filter at 30 Hz (24 dB/octave) to protect subwoofers. The RCA inputs accept an RMS voltage range of 200 mV to 4 V. The amplifier supports automatic turn-on via DC offset or signal detection. Advanced "rollback" protection maintains amplifier operation under thermal overload. An optional remote level control (HD-RLC or MHD-RLC) is available for convenient bass level adjustment.
