Detailed description
Detailed description
The Minn Kota Bluetooth Heading Sensor, reference MK-1866680, is an accessory designed for trolling motors equipped with Bluetooth-compatible Advanced GPS, i-Pilot, and i-Pilot Link systems. It integrates a compass that detects your boat's heading and transmits this information to the motor, thereby enabling the Spot-Lock Jog function.
Spot-Lock Jog Functionality
The Spot-Lock Jog functionality offers the ability to move your Spot-Lock position in 1.5-meter (5-foot) increments in any direction. This precision is made possible by the communication between the heading sensor and the trolling motor, enhancing boat maneuverability and positioning on precise fishing spots.
Integration and Installation
This external heading sensor is specifically designed to complement Bluetooth-enabled Advanced GPS, i-Pilot, and i-Pilot Link systems. It is important to note that it is not applicable to Minn Kota QUEST series motors, as these are already equipped with an internal heading sensor. During installation, it is crucial not to place the sensor near ferrous metals or sources of magnetic fields or interference, such as batteries or power cables, within a 60 cm (24-inch) radius.
