Detailed description
Detailed description
The NAVICO HST-WSU 83/200kHz Skimmer depth sounder is designed for depth and fish detection using traditional 2D sonar. It includes a water temperature sensor for comprehensive environmental data collection. This sounder is suitable for transom or electric motor mounting, ensuring versatile installation across different hull types.
Sonar Performance
The HST-WSU sounder operates on two distinct frequencies: 83 kHz and 200 kHz. At 83 kHz, it provides a wide 52° beam angle, ideal for covering large areas and reaching depths up to 300 metres (1000 feet). The 200 kHz frequency delivers a narrower 22° beam angle, enabling more detailed target detection and better echo separation, with a maximum depth of 152 metres (500 feet). Its design is optimized for traditional 2D sonar, without advanced imaging features such as StructureScan.
Design and Integration
Featuring a plastic housing for transom mounting, the sounder comes with a 6-metre (20-foot) cable and a 6-pin UniPlug connector, facilitating integration with many Lowrance and Eagle displays from 2003 and newer using black connectors. It weighs 0.24 kg. Designed to operate in temperatures from -15°C to +55°C and stored from -30°C to +70°C, it ensures reliability in various marine conditions.
