Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for depth and temperature detection applications, the Navico PDT-WBL 83/200 kHz Pod-Style transducer is a dual-frequency transducer suitable for vessels up to 8 meters (25 feet). It provides reliable detection with its 83 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies, ensuring accurate coverage and resolution for fishing and navigation.
Sonar Performance and Technical Specifications
The PDT-WBL transducer delivers a transmission power of 300W (RMS) and can reach a maximum depth of 304 meters (1000 feet) at 200 kHz. Its beam widths are 52° at 83 kHz and 22° at 200 kHz, enabling detailed exploration of the seabed. It features a broadband ceramic element and a temperature sensor, measuring depth and water temperature simultaneously. The transducer is designed to operate up to a speed of 60 knots (70 mph).
Installation and Environment
This "pod-style" model offers versatile mounting options, including through-hull (shoot-thru-hull) mounting for fiberglass hulls or transom mounting for trolling motors. For through-hull mounting, it is recommended to install it near the boat’s centerline, with a maximum deadrise angle of 10° for V-hulls, while avoiding areas near trim tabs. It cannot be installed in through-hull mounting on wooden hulls. The transducer weighs 0.07 kg (without cable) and comes with a 3.9-meter (12.5-foot) cable featuring a 7-pin blue connector. It supports operating temperatures from 0°C to +50°C and storage temperatures from -30°C to +70°C.
